And it goes on...

So I really do have a lot of catching up to do this week!! Ok...we finished VBS up last week and it went pretty well. We averaged about 25-30 kids each night, and they seemed to really enjoy it. But probably the best and most memorable part for everyone is the fact that on the last night Daniel, Bruce, and myself all got whipped cream pies in our faces!! You can see pictures of that and more if you would like on my picture website and click on the "Vacation Bible School" album. I hope you are checking back frequently, because of course I am constantly taking more pictures and adding them to the site. Not a whole lot happened the rest of the week...Bruce and his family left on Friday and then the family I am staying with went out of town for 2 weeks, so it has been a little lonely around here! Half of the church is full of this family and they all went to a family reunion...so church attendance has been down some! ;-)

This week hasn't been very eventful...it has been pretty wet and rainy all week...Tuesday we were supposed to go camping with the younger kids, but because of the weather and the fact that we were afraid that it would be too hard of a hike for them...we decided to do something different. We were all going to "camp out" in the annex of the church last night, but the boys ended up staying there and I took the girls over to one of the houses of some of the members of our church to spend the night. They have an awesome house and part of it is a bed & breakfast, and so we stayed in the bottom apartment which is awesome (there are 3 floors). They have the most gorgeous view of the ocean and I could just go live there forvever and be fine!! We got in the hot tub for awhile and it was nice, and we also made a video, played some games and had a lot of fun!! I don't think they crashed out until about 4 in the morning, and we got up at 8:30 so it was a very short night! Needless to say, I am once again exhausted, but it is also part of the adventure!! It did clear up yesterday evening and today...the clouds have not all dissapeared, but I did see a little sun peeking through the past few days, and the temperature is perfect!

I am sure that the majority of you Broadway folk have heard about Rodney (or who I lovingly know as Oglethorpe) has been called to ministry in Tennessee, and although those are going to be extremely hard shoes to fill and he will be greatly missed by SO many...I am WAY excited for you, Rodney and wish you ALL the best!!

The time is rapidly approaching for me to return to Texas, and I have to admit I am ready! Although I still am not sure what I am doing once I return, so please continue to pray that God continues to reveal His plan for me and that I will be looking in the right direction. I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces and I hope that God is continually blessing you! This has been a wonderful learning experience and adventure, and there are still 2 more weeks of memories to be made!! Anyway, I love you all-keep your eyes focused above!!

"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word I put my hope". ~Psalm 130:5
