Ok, I have a confession...

....I am such a sucker for books!!! First, a few weeks ago at lectureship I bought about 15 books for $1 at the library sale-now granted, they were older used books-but still...what a great deal!! Then...I go to Mardel's today (which is like the greatest store on earth and hours will pass by and a major catasrophe could happen outside-say, the world ending...and I wouldn't have a clue!!) and some of their books were 90% off-BIG mistake, because yes...I ended up buying 8 more books!! Now, some would think...Katherine, that is great!! And yes, to an extent it is...except that I haven't read the majority of the rest of the books that are collecting dust on my shelves!! Someday I will get around to all of them, AND I want to write a book myself someday...

Anyway, this is Spring Break for me (yes I know it's early-hey, I don't make ACU's calendar!!) and I have been in Lubbock for the past few days seeing friends and hanging out with my adopted family here, and it has just been wonderful. I also got to help Kayla (my adopted 15 year old sister) write a term paper for her Bible class and that was a lot of fun, and a great bonding experience I asked her how long it had to be and when she said 3 pages...I was thinking, oh I can handle this!! I seem to roll 20 pages off like candy these days...gotta love Grad school!!

OH OH...they also opened the much anticipated Kohl's store here in Lubbock...another BIG mistake...there is probably a good reason why there is neither a Mardel's OR a Kohl's in Abilene...I don't make any money as it is, so they would be major temptations!! But (hold your applause) I refrained from buying anything at Kohl's today. Hey, there is a first for everything...
