The most wonderful time of the year...

I know I have not written in a long time-I don't even know if people read this anymore since there are no comments...but I will write anyway! I haven't had much to write about-well, there have been many thoughts in my head-but probably not much you would like to read about!

I am currently watching Elf for the 10th or so time in the last few weeks! It is by far one of my favorites-cracks me up every time!! This has been kind of a weird Christmas season for me and my family. We did not really decorate (partly because our precious dog would tear everything down!), and partly it has been hard for us to get into the Christmas season. I mentioned before about my cousin, Danny and his cancer. Well, he was supposed to have his radiation pill about 2 months ago, and they have been putting him off-which has been really frustrating. Also, because his thyroid was taken out, he needs to take thyroid medicine-but has not been able to do that either until he has his radiation, which has made him even weaker. He has been really sick and not able to eat much-he was not able to join us at Thanksgiving, nor will he be able to be there at Christmas. It has been really hard for him for obvious reasons, and for the fact that he cannot work. He is finally scheduled to get his round of radiation on January 3rd-so we are REALLY hoping and praying it works. If not, he will have to do chemo. He has to be alright-my aunt lost her other son when he was two, and we have to keep Danny around. Please, please be in prayer for him!! We all know what the power of prayer can do!!!

I continue to job hunt-I am really hoping that something will come through after the holidays. I just continue to pray that God will lead me to where He wants me to go and where He can use me best. I know He will show me at the right time-I have to keep trusting in Him. In the meantime, I have been in Lubbock and Abilene facialing people and trying to lay the foundation for my Mary Kay business! It has been a lot of fun-I will have to go more into that lately. The last few weeks have really been a blessing, and I am thankful that God has given me this opportunity, and even more grateful for amazing community and extended family I have been blessed with. I know I could never repay what I have been given, but I am most definitely thankful, and thank God every day.

I pray that you are all relishing in the love of family, friends and our awesome Father at this time of the year. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!!

Thank you for your prayers for Danny-please continue to raise Him up to our Father...
