God's faithfulness and Goal reached!!

What a mighty God we serve! I am really blown away and amazed by God's faithfulness, especially after the roller coaster I have been on the last few months...

I honestly doubt I would have said Yes to China back in early November. I was in the faith struggle of my life, and honestly was not sure where it would end up. How could I go share my faith with others if my own faith was wavering?

Yet, as God has restored my faith and my joy-when the opportunity arose, and after committing in January to go to China with Let's Start Talking, I knew that I had a very short window to raise a great amount of money...I really did have faith that God would provide. I don't know if I would have just a few months ago, but I KNEW then He could make it happen!! Boy, did He ever!!! In less than a month, He provided the right people to donate over $3000 to my fundraising goal-far surpassing the original goal. Even people I have never met at all felt compelled to give to my mission trip because we are part of the Body of Christ. It has just amazed and humbled me immensely.

I also know it would not have been at all possible without all of the people that blogged, twittered, and got the message out for me to help me reach my goal. Thank you is just not enough!! A big shout out to John Dobbs, Brian Nicklaus, Trey Morgan who did a special post on their blog (I hope I did not miss anyone!); and for people like Tucker, David, Gallagher, Cecelia and so many others on twitter and facebook who helped me out to reach this goal. You know who you are and I am ever SO grateful!! I certainly could not have done this without you!! :)

This community has truly blessed me in ways I could not even imagine. Another thank you to Brian for the MP3 player-which will REALLY come in handy on the long plane ride over!! That was another answered prayer. I had been looking the night before trying to find a cheaper one online, and just could not find what I needed-when Brian messaged me the next day saying he had one. Little did he know that he was answering a prayer! Just another way in which I am watching God provide.

I still don't have a full time job, though I have a few things in the works-but I do believe in God's faithfulness, His timing, and that His plans are better than mine. I am SO excited about this incredible opportunity that He has placed before me, the way He has provided for funding and other things, and cannot wait to see what He will do through our team while in Beijing!! It is only a few short weeks away, and I continue to pray for the people we will be reading and sharing our faith with, and that it will be an easy transition for all of us-especially as we travel with a baby. I continue to covet your prayers, cannot thank you enough for all of your support and prayers up to this point, and plan on blogging about our adventure as I can while we are there. This really is a Great Adventure, and I am so glad that God is my pilot as we travel!! What a blessing it is to travel with you :)
