We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to let you know...
about my "grand entrance" at church this morning ;)
As we are only 3 short days away from leaving for China, the elders at Garden Ridge were going to pray over us today during the service. I was hoping and imagined that it would take place towards the end, but alas...nope-not so much-it was at the very beginning, and since I live about 20 minutes away I walked in about 5 minutes late...
As I was walking in the front doors-there is a straight shot to the front of the auditorium and I could see the rest of my team standing up front, as I hear Philip Nichols (the family minister) who is standing at the podium say "Well, if we will wait a second, here comes Katherine right now!" as the entire congregation turns and looks at me, half laughing and half clapping...I *quickly* walk to the front, join my team, and the elders commence to pray for us. :)
Ha ha...it was hilarious. Cracked me up. It was one for the books!!
Seriously, if all of the lights on Main Street in Lewisville had not been green for me today (and they never all are!) I would have missed all of it! I guess God knew I needed to make my grand entrance in such a nice fashion! ;)
THREE days, 8 hours and 2 minutes till wheels up for China!!!!!!!! :)

wow, kat, I didn't realize you were such an attention-grabbing, prideful person.
seriously, a little embarrassing but at least you were there.
What a great story! Nothing like slipping into the back pew when you're running a bit late, hmm? ;o)
Ha, great story! Serves you right for being late. LOL. How wonderful though.
I enjoyed the story. Some things never change, do they? It made me laugh!!! We're praying for you and your team.
Man, I would have been mortified! So glad you made it, though :) I hope y'all have a wonderful, blessed time!
