There is just no way to walk outside here with being in awe with God's creation! I don't know how anyone can live in a place like this, or in this world for that matter...and not believe that there is a God and that He made this beautiful land!!
Of course, it is yet another beautimous day in Juneau! Yesterday was also gorgeous, so of course we went hiking again-this time on the east side of the Mendenhall glacier. Me, Daniel, Maria and her 2 boys and two of the teenage boys went, and it was about a 2 1/2-3 mile hike. It started out with a lot of stairs, and it was a pretty easy one...it looped around back to the beginning and we were really close to a huge waterfall, and it was another beautiful hike! Then last night, me and Daniel had dinner at Cy and Maria's and that was awesome.
Today me and Daniel went hiking again. We went to the Windfall Lake cabin because we are planning on taking the older kids there on Wednesday. This was about a 7 1/2 mile hike and it was really nice. We saw another glacier, which was either the Eagle or Herbert glacier and it was really cool (ha ha) and we went down to the glacier water, which felt great and made we want to jump in! I didn't, but we are planning on taking the younger kids glacier swimming on Thursday if the weather is nice, so that will definitely be interesting! I'll let you know how that goes...
Anyway, I must sign off for now, I have some NASCAR to watch ;-), so have a great evening and God bless!
