LTC and Birthday Blessings

What a wonderful, blessed (and tiring!!) weekend it has been!! Here are some of the highlights, blessings and fun stuff that took place:

*Going for late night ice cream on Friday night with Abby and Amanda (2 of my girls, and never fear-I did not have any!!)

*Being woken up by a major thunderstorm on Friday night and hearing the thunder from the 20th floor!! How awesome was that??!!

*The high school chorus completely blowing me away by their talents and abilities (They have SO been holding out of me all of this time!!) They rocked the house down...along with everyone else that participated from B-Way!! (But of course I am not biased)...

*Being around all of my Broadway kids, parents, and all of those people that continue to completely shower my life with blessings and love...even though I am now in a different town. I love you guys mucho!!

*My VERY white youth minister, Brook, rapping in the middle of the atrium at LTC...AFTER he had a dance off with one of the kids in our youth group (I think he won after doing a spin move on the floor-we attracted quite a crowd!) ;)

*Having my brother call me and wish me a Happy Birthday!! I was going to get to see him and his 4 kids, but the youngest one came down with the chicken pox, so that sure wasn't happening-but I was just happy he called!!

*Breaking my Lent by eating chocolate and drinking Dr. Pepper about 12:15 on Sunday morning!!:) 47 days-I made it, baby! Wow, it has definitely strengthened my relationship with God, and I hope I can continue to be disciplined in my spiritual walk with Him...

*Celebrating Christ's ressurection on Sunday with the body of Christ...
*Having a really awesome conversation with my "second dad" in Fort Worth about life, ministry, decisions, and growing up...Craig, you will never know what you do for my soul-but I sure do appreciate and love you tons!!

*Reading my mom's beautiful card that she sent me before she left (I had received it on Friday, but waited till Sunday to read it, and I am so glad I did!)

*Spending time with my family who made it a very special day for me despite my parents not being there. What a special time (and GREAT food!!)...I love you all!!

*Eating the long awaited chocolate birthday cake that my cousin so kindly made-along with homemade vanilla ice cream!! Yummm...

*Playing with my cousin's little kids for hours-I haven't ever really gotten to do that, and it was such a blast! I love the joy of little kids...

*Getting a call from my other family in Lubbock who sang Happy Birthday to me!! I love you guys!! :)

*Receiving a most beautiful e-card from one of my friends from LCU-it just made my day! Thanks Kristen!!

*Feeling God's most incredible peace about a decision I have been trying to make about moving-something that I have been really praying about (and I know many of you have too) and have been seeking for a LONG time...

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and that you felt the power of God move in your lives and were able to celebrate the most incredible ressurection of Christ with friends and family!! Thanks to all of those who have blessed my life in more ways than you will know, and for making the last year of my life a more enriched one. It sure hasn't been easy at times, but God has definitely stayed with me and guided me even when I couldn't see it. May the next year of my life bring utmost glory to my Creator and may everything I do be pleasing in His sight!!

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

I missed y'all this morning, too-I was just WAY too exhausted to get up! I hope that it was a good one and look forward to being with y'all next week!

Well, I thought about mentioning the snow-except for the fact that I did not actually SEE it myself-I just HEARD about it...I am sure there is some kind of lesson in there about faith...

There was snow in Burleson, Abilene, and Lubbock...all three of my towns, but none in Dallas where I actually was!! Grrrr...just one more reason for me to greatly dislike Dallas!! ;) I am glad he brought it nonetheless-just wished I could've actually SEEN it! I hope you enjoyed it for me!! God bless~

Hey Katherine! Happy (late) birthday! I have such great memories from LTC. I still remember the lyrics for most of the songs that we sang. Hope you're doing well, Suzie
