Good gravy, it has been a long time since I have posted!! I thought things would actually slow down once school was out-but it just seems to have gotten crazier!! So is my life...lol
I spent last week in Lubbock and of course that was awesome!! I got in Friday night and a bunch of Kayla's friends were about to go see the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy-so I went with them. Wow, I think someone was high when they wrote it!! It had its moments-but it was really strange. Saturday I helped Melany and Kayla put on a brunch for the Senior cheerleaders-and that was a lot of fun. Senior Sunday at Broadway was an incredible day-with Adam leading singing and Rodney preaching-it rocked! On top of that, Hank Oliver was baptized and then we had a banquet honoring the Seniors, and it was overall a wonderful day. I can't believe these kids-they were freshman when I started interning with them...and now Kayla and all of her friends have their permits and are driving!! AHHHHHH!! Get off the road...just kidding-she totally impressed me with her drivin' skills!! Sunday night I think I sat through the longest banquet ever as I went to Kayla's athletic banquet that lasted 4 hours-oh my word...and LCHS is a small school!! Craziness...
I had Cilantro's with my good friends Brion and Kandi (who are getting married in December-how exciting!!), hit Bahama Bucks twice (Yum!!) and of course had Chinese buffet with Kayla...WOW!! Gotta love it...
I also got a late birthday present and it totally rocks. I have been wanting a small travel Bible for awhile now, and so Melany took me shopping and we got an awesome one-it is red italian duo-tone bonded leather and looks kind of like a wallet and it closes with a magnet. I love it-I am way excited-I travel so much- my poor Bible was not surviving very well! I headed back Thursday afternoon, worked all weekend and began my Maymester class today. We started out with a test (Who does that??!!) so I didn't sleep much last night but I guess it is better to get it out of the way than have to wait till the end of the week. So on Friday I should know everything I need to about baptism and the Lord's supper, so feel free to quiz me...ha!
There may be a chance that I will be staying in Abilene-I have applied for a dorm supervisor position at ACU and there are 3 of them open-I have my interview on Wednesday and I am leaving this all in God's hands. I am just ready for something to change-I can't keep going like this!! So we will see what happens...I am definitely making some changes in my life that are LONG overdue!! I am just so tired of being tired, stressed and so on edge. I guess sometimes you have to learn these life lessons the hard way...
I hope that God is blessing your life whatever you are doing and wherever you are!! May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all!
