Wide Open

Rockcleft rocked my socks off!!!! It was such an amazing week to spend with my Broadway kids and also a bunch of kids from Albert's church-Tru Lite Fellowship in Midland-they were so awesome and camp would definitely have not been the same without them. My family was AMAZING-I even got a decent husband this year!! My kids rocked-they worked together as a team from day one, hardly even complained and jumped right into their chores (KP 3 times in one week!!) like pros. I love you all!! Ben, Elesa, John, Blake, Kayla, Amy, Kelsey, Charlie, Bailey, Baker, Sheka, Ryan, Chris, Jarven-you guys rock!!!

We talked all week about living wide open lives with each other as we looked at 2 Corinthians and focused on the Scripture from chapter 6: "We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also".

I LOVE the way it is put in The Message: "Dear, dear Corinthians, I can't tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn't fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren't small, but you're living them in a small way. I'm speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. LIVE OPENLY AND EXPANSIVELY!"

It was such an amazing week as I truly saw God work in the lives of our kids and they reached out and loved each other. The Spirit was truly moving and it was SO wonderful to experience. It is strange, because even though I have been away from them for a year, it certainly never felt like it-it is like I have been with them all along, and I LOVE that!! Those are some of the most awesome kids and I cannot wait to see what God does with them as they continue to live their lives wide open for Him!!! I pray that you also do that with each other as you seek His will...

I will write more later...I am heading back to Abilene tomorrow and then I have 2 days to pack everything up because we are painting on Thursday and I am moving in the dorm on Friday!! I am WAY pumped!!!! :)

Keep living expansively...
