Are you Jesus?

I just heard a story on the radio of a group of businessmen who were traveling through an airport, and on their way they accidentally knocked over a fruit stand with one of their briefcases. One of the men decided that he needed to help out the girl who was running the stand, so he decided to reschedule his flight and stay to help her out. He noticed then that she was blind and her eyes were filling up with tears. As she was groping around on the ground searching for the fruit, and as the rest of the crowd walked on by, he helped her pick up the fruit that fallen on the ground. He also noticed that some of the fruit had been bruised by the fall and so he handed her some money so that she could buy some more. After he had finished, as he was walking away, she said, "Sir!", and he turned around and looked at her as she asked, "Are you Jesus?"

I know we could also insert the story of the Good Samaritan in here, too...but the main point is that we need to be living our lives SO closely to Jesus, that the world cannot tell the difference.

I know that I sure do not epitomize this most of the time, and especially not lately. I have let frustration, lack of sleep, and impatience cloud my discernment and I often let things slip out of my mouth or let thoughts enter into my head that do not align with what Jesus desires or IS. I apologize. I truly want to live out the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control...

This is my prayer.
