Prayer Requests

***EDIT*** PLEASE pray for the Day Family: Courtney Day, the 16 year old daughter of Tim & Lisa Day passed away Monday evening from complications with her heart. For those of you who do not know, Tim is one of the ministers at the Taylor Street church of Christ in Hobbs, NM. He was the youth minister in Mesa, AZ for a long time. His brother and family go to Broadway, and I am really close to them. This is just devestating-she went in for a simple procedure, and did not come out of it...PLEASE be on your knees for them...the funeral is Thursday in Lubbock.

PLEASE pray for Cody Veteto: He is currently a freshman here at ACU and he was in a ski accident while he was on the Advanced Snow Skiing Class trip this past weekend in Colorado. He crashed head on (though wearing a helmet) into a tree, and he has a basal skull fracture. His parents and sister flew to Denver where he is still unconscious in the hospital and is on a breathing machine. Please pray for full recovery and for positive brain and sensory responses. This is likely going to take a long time for a full recovery, but as we know-God definitely listens to prayers. Pray for healing, for comfort for his family, and also his roommate-they were friends before they ever came to college and he is having a hard time with this, also.

Also, be in prayer for the family of Kerri Lane who passed away last Thursday. She was an awesome woman of faith who was a member of Highland and she had been struggling with melanoma for many months now. She leaves behind two precious daughters, Carlee (9) and Jolee (6) and I know that it will be hard for them to be without a mother. I am so thankful for my friend, Katie Riggs who is ministering in more ways than she may ever know to these girls. May God give them peace and comfort during this difficult time, and know that Kerri is noew dancing in heaven with no more pain!

Thank you, my friends, and may the Lord continue to rain His peace and grace upon you~

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective". ~James 5:16

Hey Katherine, I'm sorry to hear about Cody, I've been praying for him too. I'm with you, just devestated for the Days. I'll see you on thursday then. Be safe coming this way!
