What a year this has been!! I think I may have been stretched more and have grown more this past year than I have been in a long time. I have learned a lot about myself, about others, and have learned important lessons about grace, compassion, empathy, hope, and forgiveness (among others).
I have learned that this journey with God really is a great adventure, even through the ups and downs; and I truly know that without my Savior I would absolutely be nothing and would never be able to make it. He is my ROCK, my stronghold and I am so thankful that HE is my compass on this journey!
I know that this is the time that people usually make resolutions, and mine tend to be some of the common ones every year: read through the Bible in a year, eat better, blah blah blah...well I am constantly trying to work on many things, so I don't really like setting lots of resolutions like that at the beginning of the year, because after a week I usually fall off. There is one bigger thing that I would really like to accomplish before the year is over though, and that is (drum roll please): to run a half marathon. I have been wanting to do this for a few years, and I have decided that 2007 will be the year. I will keep everyone updated as I progress, and actually look forward to the challenge. I would like to find one that is for a good cause, so we will see when and how this takes place.
Candy also challenged others on her blog to choose a word that would be the theme for the year, and God has not really placed one on my heart yet, but I will keep praying that He does and look forward to seeing what He has in store for me this year. Thanks, Candy for such a wonderful idea-love you!! :)
Who knows what this year holds for all of us...but I pray that I will always remember to love first and to share the blessings the Lord has bestowed on me with everyone I come into contact with. May the Holy Spirit fill all of your hearts and lives with joy & peace, and may the love of Christ be overflowing in abundance into your lives and onto others~

Katherine - Good luck on that half marathon. Wow. Big one. I also just wanted to say that I have seen you give grace, be compassionat and empathetic, dish out hope and heap on forgiveness this year and I've only known you for a short time. You are an amazing person and God has some really big plans for you. He would never let all that love in your heart go to waste. Look out girl, you are on a great adventure!! love you.
