Time flies...

I had a whole post I was going to write on the break, but it was not the most positive thing, so I decided not to finish it. It went by fast-that is all I know; and although I did not get quite the sleep I needed or finish my homework, I needed the down time! It was great to have my mom here and we had a good time, especially playing Phase 10 and watching I Love Lucy and Mary Poppins! :)

This semester has just flown by, I cannot believe that in a few days we will be embarking on the downhill side of the semester. I have to admit I am looking forward to summer, and also the fact that (Lord willing) I will only have 2 semesters of school left after this one!! That is WAY exciting to think about...6 years of graduate school is about all I can handle!! Ultimately, I have been in some type of school for the last 25 years-I am about ready for a break! I am still enjoying my classes, though and I will give my second sermon (a 20 minute one) next Tuesday. This time it is on Proverbs 3, and I am in the midst of preparing for it. Speaking of, I should probably get back to working on it and enjoying my last 2 days of the break...

Along with being in school for this long, I have also been on a school schedule for 25 years. It will be strange if I end up in a job that does not observe these breaks and holidays-I am not sure I will know what to do! I am thankful that I am able to observe a school schedule and be able to take the breaks and see my family and friends on holidays. I guess I make most of that up on the weekends that I work, so it somewhat balances out. I am excited about finishing out the next 2 months in McDonald, and we have some great stuff planned; while also planning for what next year looks like with a new staff and a revamped idea of the living/learning hall model. I am way excited about the possibilities!!

God is working and moving here, even in the midst of my frustration and loneliness. I know I am here for a reason, and have not questioned that I should be somewhere else-I know that it is all preparing me for something and despite myself, I am being used for His purpose and glory. God is good, and I am thankful He is with me and we can walk together on this journey...

Proverbs 3:5,6 is my ultimate favorite!!! That should be a good lesson. Glad your spring break was good!!!
