Winding down...
11 days until the end of school and my hall will be empty...wierd!!
Here is a picture of all of my girlies lined up last week during the tornado warning:
He got the tattoo on Saturday night. It's a symbol, obviously, for Daniel.
I can't believe YOU have a tattoo! Where?? What of?? I'm going to get the Chinese symbol for "Mother" tattooed on my abdomen...once I drop these extra pounds! :)
and I'm thinking about a butterfly with my children's initials in the wings. On my lower back, maybe. We'll see :)
Back when I was at Harding, we had a huge storm system come through - in January, no less! - and we had tornado warnings off and on from 4p to midnight. We were herded into the halls much like the girls in this photo, but that was back in 1999, before laptops and wi-fi were commonplace. We had to entertain ourselves by doing homework, chatting with friends, and, when the power went out, singing in the dark. Some dorm moms were especially protective, and wouldn't let anyone leave to get dinner, not that it would have mattered b/c the cafeteria was closed. Anyway, some girls were calling their boyfriends to bring them food and others ordered pizza. Yes, the pizza guys delivered even though there were actual reports of tornadoes on the ground. INSANE! It was a crazy fun night :-D
I am simply striving to serve God in everything that I do as He forms me into His image. Saddle up your horses, and come join me on my journey...feel free to leave a comment along the way!!
