Please continue to get on your knees and pray for Jerrod. He is able to sit in a chair and has begun his physical therapy, but is still having problems with his hearing, speech, and eyesight. They are sending the tumor to Mayo to have it checked out there-so please continue to pray that it is benign!!! What an amazing testimony this sweet family continues to be-I cannot help but think about them all day and pray pray PRAY!!
This is the latest e-mail and prayer request from Jerry:
PRAYER REQUEST (make that begging for prayer)
They are sending the tumor to the Mayo Clinic to determine what the tumor is. The pathology here is indeterminate. I don't really know if that is a good sign or if that is cause for concern I choose to believe it is a good sign. I'm sure they know malignancy when they see it... right? Besides, I am going to plead one more time. I am going to beg one more time (I know I am wearing you out with prayer requests) But may we get on our knees in fervent prayer again and beg our God to provide the news that this tumor is the most benign tumor anyone has ever seen. Please, don't tire of praying for Jerrod. We have won many battles so far, but the war is not over.
But as always, keep on your prayer list lots of gratitude!!!!!!!
He also wrote this:
So, we wait. We wait for continued healing, we wait for the pathology report. But we are waiting with patience. We are not trying to rush anything. We have found God's timing for each step to be perfect in every way. Jerrod is waiting for his hearing to improve, his speech to improve, his eye sight to improve, his coordination to improve and he waits with patience. It is so sweet to be in the loving care of the creator of the universe isn't it. We can sit quietly and just be amazed at his work. We can sit and thank Him. We can quietly wait upon the Lord. Ummm, it is so good. All the little things I have heard, and even said, have sadly been only words sometimes in the past. How sweet to feel and to know. I know that most of you who read this are spiritually light years ahead of me and are probably wondering why I am so amazed. I am trying to catch up with the rest of you.
Jerry (daddy)
Our prayer requests are still:
1. Thanksgiving that God has watched over Jerrod.
2. Thanksgiving that God has blessed so many through this event.
3. Praise to God for his wonderful love and comfort - showed through so many.
4. Request that Jerrod will improve in vision, hearing, and speech.
5. Request that Jerrod will not have to have permanent shunt.
6. Request the tumor is benign.
Thank you all-it is pretty amazing how much you feel connected through the body of Christ through prayer.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. ~James 5:16b
