Well, one of the things I plan on doing this year is continue to lose weight...and I have started off pretty well...because I have been extremely sick! Not quite what I had in mind...I came to Artesia to celebrate New Year's, and when I woke up on Tuesday morning the left side of my throat hurt, and as the day went on I kept feeling worse and worse. I developed an incredibly high fever, and just kept wanting to sleep. By the time I woke up on Wednesday I could not swallow without being in excruciating pain, along with my glands swollen and my head pounding. We tried to go to the doctor on Wednesday, but either they were closed or booked up...so we tried again on Thursday, and after 2 1/2 hours of waiting in the doctor's office-he confirmed what we suspected-strep. Ugh. I have not had this since I was little, and let me tell you-it is painful!! Even talking is difficult.
Oh what a wonderful way to start off the new year! Thank goodness for Judy who is taking good care of me! :) It just stinks because I came here to visit everyone, and have not been able to do that. I am hoping in a couple of days it will clear up enough so that I will be able to do so. It seems almost everyone is coming down with some kind of crazy illness. I hope this is my share for the year, because that is plenty!!
Anyway, I hope your 2008 began better than mine, and that you are incredibly blessed by our Father's love in the year to come!! May you have good health, be surrounded by family and friends, and come to a full knowledge of the depths of God's grace, mercy, and love for you~
