Your misery will be your ministry...

I liked this one-although I am not particularly in misery right now, there was definitely a time not too long ago that I could really relate with this. This is from Justin Lookado (isn't that just such a great name?!):

Scars are cool. Now, the process of getting a scar sucks because there is pain involved. But each scar tells a story. And when you see someone with a fresh wound, you feel for them because you know exactly what they're going through.

That's life. You may end up going through some hellacious stuff. Maybe you already are and it sucks. And once you get through it, whatever it is, you will have some scars. These scars will be the things that you get to tell other people about so that you can help them. And when you see someone else wounded like you were, you will be able to reach out to them like only someone with your scars can.

"Your misery will be your ministry".

And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory of Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. ~1 Peter 5:10

That is really good...and been on my mind soooo much lately. I was just actually thinking of posting something about the way I've been able to minister in ways lately that I never knew I would have the chance to. I was at Monterey last week only for class though, b/c Mason got sick, but I'm planning on being there tomorrow. Hopefully I'll see you!
