I was grateful to get free tickets (thanks to my dad and brother's Valvoline business) to the NASCAR race here at Texas Motor Speedway for the 2nd year in a row, and took my niece with me. It was awesome! Jimmie did not have such a great day, but my other fav-Carl Edwards did, and I got to see him do his famous backflip (albeit from a far away distance!) which was great! We had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed listening to the scanners, and I even got close to Jimmie Johnson!
Also...the Abilene Christian Wildcats are now 10-0 and the LSC Champs!! Here is a shout out to my friends at ACU!
And...I have watched Texas Tech beat Texas and Oklahoma State...and move up to #2 in the standings!! 10-0!! WRECK 'EM TECH!!!! I love watching Graham Harrell (who is also at the top of the Heisman votes) and Michael Crabtree-what a dynamic duo!! Man, what a year to be in Lubbock-I really wish I was, but that just does not seem to be in the cards right now.
There has been a lot on my mind and heart, but am not sure how much or what to share right now...so am sticking with the sports topic because it is exciting!! :)
More to come over the weekend, I imagine...For now *insert ESPN tune* du na na du na na ;)

WOW- you were close to Jimmy!! Carl is my favorite, but I'm afraid it's in the cards for Jimmy to win (again!) this year. We still haven't been to a race at TMS, but are hoping to go next year.
