Well, I just returned from an awesome week at Encounter at LCU. It was very strange this year to not be directly involved as a counselor or some other aspect-but it was still a great week: The classes were awesome, and the speakers were amazing as they seriously spoke the truth in love by living out the theme of the week of being "Real". They also made me incredibly proud to be an LCU alum because I have seen so many people graduate from LCU who have amazing hearts, passion, and gifts for ministry and they are truly using them for God's glory-and it is so encouraging to see. Encounter has to be one of my favorite weeks of the year-I missed it last year since I was in Alaska (but was at an awesome camp there!!), so it was great to be there this year. I actually turned down an internship so that I could do Encounter one year-how crazy is that?? My dream is to one day teach a class-I have so many ideas and would absolutely LOVE to do that someday...
Superchic(k) rocked the house down on Wednesday night, and Kayla went with me and had my all the way on the front row rockin' out and it was a blast!! I ate lunch and got to spend time with my good friend James at Cilantro's and it was a great time of catching up-it had seriously been over a year and WAY to long. He is such a precious man and it was great to see him. I also saw Rudy on Thursday night and he looked GREAT!! Wow-God sure did work a miracle with him-thanks for all of your prayers-Rudy felt them and God hurt them as He most definitely answered with an amazing recovery. He has to wear his neck brace for 3 months, but other than that he is going to be just fine. PRAISE GOD!!! :)
I drove in from Lubbock this morning and had to get up at 7:00 to get here in time to change and get to work by 10:30 (ugh), so I had church on the road today! ;) I have another class this week: Galatians & Romans and I am excited about it-I love the book of Romans and am looking forward to learning more about it. I hope you all have a most wonderful week and that God is blessing you immensely today...
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~Romans 15:5-6
