First sermon

Well, I am about to give my first official sermon in my preaching class. I have to say that I am pretty excited, and actually not very nervous (ask me again in a little while) ;) I was yesterday, because I had never really constructed a full sermon from scratch before like this, and was not sure where to start. I have done lessons, devotionals, classes-things of that nature-but this is different. It is also an incredible passage that I have chosen, and so it seemed a bit daunting to have the duty of bringing that message forth.

I should never have been worried. It is amazing the way that the message comes screaming out of the text, especially the one I chose-Acts 2 where the Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost and so many hear and obey Jesus' calling. I have been transformed in this preparation, and just as the Spirit moved on that day, I pray that today He will move through my words and pour through me...
